Chronic Disease Management
Under the new contract we manage diabetes, asthma, hypertension, epilepsy, COPD, cancer, stroke, CHD, hypothyroidism and mental health.
Minor Surgery / Cryotherapy / Soft Tissue Injection Clinic
There are a number of surgical procedures which do not require hospital admission. We do have a clinic especially for such occasions and if your doctor considers it appropriate he will advise you.
Diabetic And CHD Clinic
This is usually held every week with the practice nurse. You will be sent for on a routine basis.
 

Asthma Clinic
Asthmatic patients are seen during normal surgery hours by the practice nurse. You will be sent for on a routine basis.
Travel Clinic
These are run for foreign travel advice and vaccinations. Please complete the following Travel Form and contact the Surgery for further details.
 

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Cervical screening, contraceptive services, vaccination and immunisations, childhood vaccinations and immunisations, child health surveillance and maternity services.

ENHANCED SERVICES
Anticoagulant monitoring, influenza immunisations, provision of near patient testing and IUD.
Other services may be offered in the future after discussion with the local Health Board.
These are to include:
Minor injuries, advanced minor surgery, alcohol misuse and specialised care of patients with depression.

NEW PATIENT CHECKS
If you are joining us and are over five years old you will be invited to attend for a new patient check. This is a 15 minute appointment with the practice nurse to take some details of your medical history and check your height, weight, blood pressure and urine. This is important because at first we will not have your medical records and this information helps us to find out a little about you initially. Please make every effort to attend.

The surgery operates a minor ailments scheme with the local pharmacies.
